Privacy and personal information
Privacy and POPIA Notice
A clear explanation of what the website collects, why it is used, where it goes and how to request access, correction or deletion.
Effective date: 21 July 2026
1. Who is responsible for your information?
Dreyer & Associates is the responsible party for personal information submitted in connection with this website. Our office is at 19 Tambotie Street, Premier Park, Tzaneen, 0850.
2. What information may be collected?
The enquiry form asks for your name, business or entity name, email address, telephone number, the service required, your message and consent to respond. We may also receive information you choose to provide by telephone, WhatsApp or email.
3. How the enquiry form works
The website securely submits your enquiry to our hosting server. A protected enquiry record is created and an email notification is sent from info@dreyerass.co.za to the practice mailbox. You stay on the website and do not need to open your own email application.
4. Why information is used
- To respond to enquiries and identify the appropriate service.
- To prepare proposals, engagement terms or requested work.
- To communicate with clients and maintain professional records.
- To meet applicable legal, tax, accounting and regulatory obligations.
- To protect the rights, security and integrity of the practice and its clients.
5. Lawful processing
Depending on the circumstances, information may be processed with your consent, to take steps you request before an engagement, to perform an agreed engagement, to comply with a legal obligation, or for a legitimate purpose connected with operating the practice.
6. Storage, access and sharing
Website enquiries are stored in a protected log on the hosting server and in the practice's email and business record systems. Access is limited to authorised personnel and service providers who require it for the stated purpose. Information is not sold. It may be shared where required by law, with a regulator, or with an agreed specialist involved in your matter.
7. Retention
Information is kept only for as long as reasonably required for the enquiry, an engagement, professional recordkeeping, dispute management and applicable legal obligations. Retention periods therefore depend on the type of record and whether the enquirer becomes a client. Records that are no longer required should be securely deleted or de-identified.
8. Your choices and rights
You may ask whether we hold your personal information and request access, correction or deletion where the law permits. You may also object to certain processing or withdraw consent, although legal or professional duties may still require some records to be retained.
9. Cookies and analytics
The website currently does not use advertising analytics or non-essential tracking cookies. Basic technical logs may still be created by the hosting provider for security, reliability and troubleshooting.
10. Security and external links
Reasonable safeguards are used to protect information under the practice's control. No internet or email transmission is completely risk-free. Links to WhatsApp, Google Maps, SARS, CIPC and other external services are governed by those providers' own privacy terms.
11. Updates to this notice
This notice may be updated when the website, business processes or legal requirements change. The effective date above shows the latest published version.
